Professional Background

Ken Molberg is campaigning to become Judge of the 95th Civil District Court. Ken has been in practice for over 30 years, with extensive experience in the civil courts of Dallas County. He is a 26-year partner at Wilson, Williams & Molberg, P.C., in Dallas.

Ken is a founder, member and former president of the Texas Employment Lawyers Association. He is also a member of many legal associations, including the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, where he is a director emeritus, the Texas Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, and the National Employment Lawyers Association. He is one of six members of the U.S. Fifth Circuit District Judges' Advisory Committee on Pattern Jury Charges in Employment Litigation and he is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.

Ken is a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court, the Fifth and Eleventh U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals, numerous U.S. District Courts and all courts in Texas, including the Texas Supreme Court, where he has appeared for oral argument several times.

For more than 20 years, Ken has been listed in the labor and employment law section of "The Best Lawyers in America," and he has been recognized as a top attorney by D Magazine and as a "super lawyer" numerous times by Texas Monthly. He is a graduate of SMU Law School, where he served as managing editor of what is now the SMU Law Review.

Personal and Political Background

Ken and his wife Linda, a registered nurse, have been married for more than 32 years and they have four children.

Throughout his life, Ken has been a steadfast supporter of the Democratic Party. This includes many years of service on the State Democratic Executive Committee and prior service as Chair of the Dallas County Democratic Party, a position to which Dallas County voters elected him on the three occasions he sought the office. In 2000 and 2004, Ken served as chair of the Texas Democratic Party's National Delegate Selection Committee and for many years he has been General Counsel to the Dallas County Democratic Party.
